This walk, though a bit longer is a great way to extend the main 2km trail from the orginal carpark. I would not that this trail will mainly be walking on roads as there isn’t a continuous walking path along the way. So just be careful and make sure you walk in a single line.
So, while parking directly at Ballysaggartmore Towers might be tight, parking in Lismore and walking up is an alternative that many visitors enjoy. It also gives you a little extra time to appreciate the stunning landscapes around you before you reach the historic site.
